On behalf of the Military Region leadership, Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, commended the brave spirit, strong will and tireless efforts of all officers and soldiers of Team K51 in carrying out the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.

He emphasized: “The officers and soldiers of Team K51 have been carrying out an extremely sacred task, which is to bring the heroic martyrs back to their motherland, to their families and loved ones. This is an act that demonstrates the morality of “remembering the source of water when drinking water”, and is the deepest gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.”
During the 2024 - 2025 dry season, with proactive information gathering and a high sense of responsibility, Team K51 organized the search, recovery and repatriation of 23 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Mondulkiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia).
This is a commendable result, demonstrating the efforts of the entire team to overcome difficulties and hardships. The meeting was not only an opportunity for the Military Region leaders to encourage and motivate, but also a great source of encouragement and strength for the officers and soldiers of Team K51 to continue to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
