To ensure security and safety for the largest ever Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, recently, at the Han River, the Da Nang City Border Guard organized a fire prevention and rescue drill.
The hypothetical situation presented is a sudden fire on a cruise ship carrying dozens of people enjoying fireworks on the river.
Upon receiving the news, four patrol boats of the Border Guard quickly approached the scene, deployed rescue, and prioritized the rescue of critical victims.
At the same time, the fire fighting force coordinated the use of water sprays to prevent the fire from spreading, ensuring the safety of people and property on the river.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Border Guard, said: “We mobilized 6 ships, 20 canoes and more than 300 officers and soldiers to protect the safety of the water surface during the festival. At the same time, we coordinated with other forces to check licenses, life-saving equipment and the number of passengers on commercial vessels to ensure absolute safety. Violations such as carrying too many people or lacking rescue equipment will be strictly handled.”
In addition, patrol boats are equipped with high-capacity pumps, and the 115 emergency center also arranges a team of doctors and nurses ready to respond to emergencies. The synchronous coordination between forces plays an important role in ensuring the safety of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, leaving a good impression on the hearts of locals and tourists./.
