Gia Phu Commune Women's Union supports members in difficult circumstances.

The Gia Phu Commune Women's Union has 10 branches and nearly 1,100 members. The Union has focused on implementing movements and campaigns to build a civilized lifestyle, focusing on the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's" ("5 no's": No poverty; no violations of the law and social evils; no domestic violence; no violations of population policy; no malnourished and dropout children; "3 clean's": Clean house; clean kitchen; clean alley). In 2024, the whole commune will have 887 women's union households meeting the criteria of "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's".

In addition, the Association also directed the construction and replication of typical models, such as: Model of "Women's Association without husbands, children, relatives addicted to drugs, violating the law" of the Na Kham and Lin villages; "Happy Family" Club of the Chat Moi village Association; improving the quality of activities of the "Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law" Club at 3 branches of Na Kham, Vi and Lin villages.

Ms. Ha Thi Thao, Head of the Women's Union of Chat Moi village, said: The "Happy Family" model has been implemented by the Association since the end of 2021, with the criteria: Harmonious husband and wife, filial children, no domestic violence, stable economy , maintaining order and civilized behavior. Initially, only 10 member households registered to participate; to date, the model has nearly 30 households and is increasingly spreading widely in the village.

Gia Phu Commune Women's Union also regularly organizes activities such as "Green Sunday", "Women take part in cleaning village roads and alleys". Once a month, the branches take turns cleaning up the internal roads, residential areas, collecting waste, clearing trees and grass; building two flower roads in Na Kham village and Chat Moi village, with a total length of over 5 km. Propagating and mobilizing members to classify waste at home. In Nhot 1, Nhot 2, Vi village... members compost organic waste into fertilizer. Implementing the "Green House" model in 3 branches of Vi village, Tao village and Chat Moi village; many branches have also creatively implemented the "Turning waste into money" model, collecting plastic bottles, scrap paper, cans... to sell for money to support sick members, orphans, and families in difficult circumstances, contributing to environmental protection and spreading the spirit of mutual love in the community.

In addition, the Association also coordinated with the Youth Union, the Fatherland Front and the Commune Police to organize many propaganda sessions on marriage and family, prevention of violence, child marriage, school drugs, illegal emigration... Since the beginning of the year, 6 communication sessions have been organized in the villages, attracting over 500 members, union members and people to participate.

Preserving cultural identity andeducating the younger generation to live politely, the Gia Phu Commune Women's Union directs its branches to actively promote civilized behavior; preserve traditional language, costumes and rituals. Members proactively guide their children to abandon superstition and instead engage in healthy cultural activities, participate in arts, sports, read books, etc.

Ms. Lo Thi Nguyet, President of Gia Phu Commune Women's Union, informed: In the coming time, the Commune Women's Union will continue to promote propaganda in many diverse forms, replicate effective models, select typical households to serve as pilot models; maintain coordination with socio-political organizations, create a combined strength to spread civilized lifestyle throughout the commune.

From practical results, Gia Phu Commune Women's Union is gradually building the image of a modern woman who knows how to preserve traditions, is good at economics, and cares about the living environment and community culture.
