Women in Quang Tri join hands to protect the environment.

QTO - On the morning of December 17th, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union organized a communication conference with the theme "Quang Tri women join hands to protect the environment and contribute to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

At the conference, representatives from the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment delivered a presentation on environmental protection linked to the construction of new rural areas; they also provided guidance on how to collect and sort household waste, helping women members grasp basic knowledge that is easy to apply in their daily lives.

The conference also provided time for interaction and exchange with female members, sharing experiences and appropriate methods in handling household waste. Through stories and practical experiences, methods of using native microorganisms to process organic waste were introduced, contributing to reducing household waste and maintaining environmental hygiene in residential areas.

On this occasion, the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union presented plaques supporting the "Green House - Waste Collection" model to the Dong Hoi Ward Women's Union and the "Green Fence - New Rural Area" model to the Dong Son Ward Women's Union.

According to the plan, from December 15th to 18th, 2025, the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union will organize four environmental protection communication sessions at the provincial level and in localities including Le Thuy commune, Bo Trach commune, and Bac Gianh ward, with 200 women members participating at each location, aiming to spread knowledge and skills in environmental protection to the grassroots.
