Over the years, the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities has always been of interest to local Party committees, authorities and all levels and sectors. The policies and guidelines issued and effectively implemented by the Party and State have also contributed significantly to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, creating conditions for ethnic minorities to develop socio-economically. Thanks to that, over the past years, Ta Long commune has had many positive changes in all aspects.

Along with those achievements, the role and position of women's union members (WCU) have also been recognized and highly appreciated by local Party committees and authorities. "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" implemented by Project 8 has been integrated and coordinated with Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the good values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" in the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2025, achieving significant results, changing the mindset and working methods of women in this green forest who are used to slash-and-burn farming and now know how to promote the good values ​​of culture and combine the application of technology to develop community-based tourism, not only contributing significantly to preserving the traditional culture of ethnic minorities, but also bringing a significant source of income for women who have traditionally depended on their husbands.

President of the Women's Union of Ta Long Commune, Ho Thi Thuong, said: I myself have had many practical activities such as: mobilizing women to participate in preserving traditional festivals, building models of cultural and folk art clubs to maintain and develop research activities, collect and teach traditional culture and cultural and artistic movements in the community; periodically organizing cultural activities, thereby creating conditions and attracting a large number of HVPNs to participate...

From preserving traditional cultural features in labor such as: fish catching, agriculture , or customs of making special dishes to create products such as: fish paste, charcoal sticky rice, traditional cakes... not only maintaining unique national culture but also helping women get acquainted with the market, gradually forming product trading activities.

In particular, from the traditional beauty, women have researched and learned solutions to create experiential tourism products and eco-tourism through the activities of the A Lao Stream and Pa Cha Stream Tourism Cooperative Group, gradually introducing and attracting tourists, creating seasonal jobs for more than 20 Van Kieu ethnic women.

Starting from the model of "199k experience tour" at A Lao stream experience tourist area, Ta Long commune won the special prize in the "Finding startup ideas" contest organized by the Provincial Women's Union and was supported to implement in 2019. Up to now, after 5 years, the model has been developed into a community tourism cooperative group of A Lao stream with 20 participating members, maintained and developed by HVPN Ta Lao village, Ta Long commune.

In addition, the women have also made efforts to research and promote the beauty of brocade costumes of the Van Kieu people to many people as well as localities in and outside the province and abroad. Thereby, not only creating jobs for tailors but also creating more unique tourism products.

The work of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups has been carried out synchronously and harmoniously among ethnic groups; and has been supported and invested in with focus and key points. The work of propagating and mobilizing the implementation of a civilized lifestyle associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been promoted, the role of the people as masters in building a grassroots cultural life has been promoted, bad customs have been prevented, restrained, gradually pushed back, and gradually eliminated.

Ethnic minorities have actively and proactively participated in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, socio-economic development, education and intellectual level have been raised, material and spiritual life have been improved, social order and security have been ensured, gender equality and great national unity have been achieved... contributing significantly to the overall development of the locality. In that overall result, there is a significant contribution of HVPN, because ethnic women are the main force directly participating in activities to preserve, promote and conserve the traditional culture of their ethnic groups.

In order to preserve and promote traditional culture to better serve tourism and economic development, in the coming time, Ta Long commune in particular and the ethnic minority and mountainous areas in general will focus on implementing a number of solutions to enhance the role of women in activities.

That is, continue to strengthen propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness for people in general and cadres, members and women in particular about the good cultural values ​​of ethnic communities. From there, there is a sense of self-protection and development of traditional culture of one's own people, especially paying attention to education for the younger generation. Actively organize exchange programs, cultural and artistic festivals, learning experiences between cultural and artistic clubs, cooperatives producing and trading traditional handicraft products of ethnic groups...

Build specific models at branches to carry out campaigns, programs and projects related to the preservation and promotion of cultural values; discover and replicate advanced examples of women in combining economic development and the preservation and promotion of cultural values ​​in families and communities in areas such as traditional crafts, folk cuisine, etc. Strengthen the promotion of models, images and advanced examples of women in the preservation and promotion of traditional culture, and the development of products for tourism development, etc.

Party committees and authorities direct agencies and organizations at the grassroots level and promote the role of prestigious people and knowledgeable individuals in building cultural and artistic activities, community activities, promoting traditional cultural institutions and creating a healthy cultural environment suitable for the psychology of the age group. Create conditions for women's associations to develop action plans that integrate the content of inheriting and promoting cultural values ​​in current conditions.
