Phuoc Son launches peak month to eliminate temporary houses

(QNO) - On the afternoon of May 26, the People's Committee of Phuoc Son district held a ceremony to launch the Peak Month of groundbreaking and speeding up the progress of removing temporary and dilapidated houses.

According to the report, in the period of 2023 - 2025, Phuoc Son district has 1,721 households needing support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses with a budget of nearly 79 billion VND. To date, 1,494 houses have been built (86.81%), of which 795 new houses have been built and 699 houses have been repaired. Phuoc Son district leaders acknowledged the efforts of localities in implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. In the coming time, the district requires localities to continue reviewing and classifying subjects in need of housing support; closely following the locality, promptly removing obstacles and difficulties.

In particularly difficult cases, localities, sectors and organizations mobilize additional funding from benefactors inside and outside the district. Strengthen propaganda and mobilization to create consensus and promote the combined strength of the entire political system, the solidarity of the whole society, creating large resources to help the poor and meritorious people have new housing to stabilize their lives.

At the launching ceremony, leaders of 12 communes and towns signed a commitment to implement the Peak Month to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Phuoc Son district strives to complete the elimination of temporary houses by August 2025.
