According to the latest coffee price data on May 27, 2025, coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces such as Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Nong all recorded significant increases compared to the previous day. Specifically:
In Dak Lak: Coffee price increased by 1,200 VND, to 123,700 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong: Coffee price increased by 1,200 VND, to 123,200 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai: Coffee price increased by 1,200 VND, to 123,700 VND/kg.
In Dak Nong: Coffee prices increased the most, up 1,400 VND, to 123,900 VND/kg.

The upward trend in coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces shows that market demand remains high, especially after the recent April 30 - May 1 holiday. Producers and traders are holding limited supplies, thereby pushing up coffee prices. This also reflects the recovery of the Vietnamese coffee industry after the recent impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the current price increase, coffee growers in the Central Highlands can expect a bumper crop and higher profits. However, producers also need to closely monitor weather developments and supply and demand to have appropriate business strategies.

News, coffee price forecast on May 28, 2025: signs of a welcome recovery or an upcoming price storm?
Domestic market: Stable prices
According to experts, domestic coffee prices tomorrow (May 28) are forecast to stabilize around 122,000 - 122,500 VND/kg. Although coffee prices have increased continuously in the last 3 trading sessions, there are no sudden changes in weather or trade policies, so the possibility that prices will remain at the current level is very high, about 65%.
However, there is still a possibility that domestic coffee prices may recover slightly, about 100 - 200 VND/kg, if export enterprises increase purchases to prepare for June orders. The probability of this scenario is about 25%.
There is only a 10% chance that coffee prices could drop slightly, by about VND100/kg, if more coffee inventory is pushed onto the market by growers, or if the world market has a technical decline.
World Market: Potential for Volatility
In the world market, coffee prices are facing many influencing factors, making price movements more unpredictable than in the domestic market.
On the one hand, high coffee inventories on the ICE exchange, while the forecast for coffee production in the 2025/2026 crop year in Brazil and Vietnam are both positive, creating supply pressure on the market. This could put downward pressure on world coffee prices.
On the other hand, if the USD continues to strengthen or geopolitical instability occurs, coffee prices traded in USD may benefit and increase. Similarly, if the weather in major growing regions such as Brazil or the Central Highlands is unfavorable, affecting production, world coffee prices may also increase.
Therefore, the price of coffee in the world market in the coming time is forecasted to be unpredictable and potentially volatile, different from the relative stability of the domestic market.
