Nghia Lo Ward launched a campaign to remove hunting nets and protect migratory birds.

In order to strengthen the protection of wildlife, starting from October 9, the People's Committee of Nghia Lo Ward coordinated with the Ward Police and the Forest Protection Department in the area to organize inspections, reviews and dismantle illegal bird hunting nets.

Authorities discussed with the neighborhood leader about the situation of bird trapping nets in the area.

The authorities focused their inspections on areas along streams, fields and vacant lots where people often secretly set up nets to trap migratory birds such as swallows and storks. During the inspection, the force recovered hundreds of meters of invisible nets, specialized nets and many homemade traps.

The inspection and removal of illegal bird hunting nets and traps not only contributes to protecting migratory birds, but also demonstrates the determination of Nghia Lo ward authorities in building safe zones for wild birds, conserving biodiversity and deterring violations of laws on wildlife protection.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Nghia Lo Ward will continue to coordinate with functional forces to strengthen patrols, control, collect and dismantle traps, and at the same time promote propaganda and mobilize people not to hunt, buy, sell, transport, and illegally store wild animals; promptly detect and denounce violations, contributing to protecting the sustainable ecological environment.
