Press Cup is a bridge between journalists from North to South.

After 3 days of exciting and fierce competition with great matches and beautiful goals at Viettel Sports Center Stadium (Hoa Lac, Thach That, Hanoi), on the evening of September 10, the 7th National Press Agency Football Tournament - Press Cup 2023 ended successfully with the Closing Ceremony, Award Ceremony and Gala to celebrate success.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association spoke at the closing ceremony and award ceremony of Press Cup 2023.

Speaking at the closing ceremony and award gala, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, congratulated the 12 teams that completed the matches, and congratulated the new champion of the Press Cup 2023 - the team of Vietnam Television (VTV).

According to Mr. Minh, the Press Cup is not only a place to witness beautiful goals, exciting plays, medal and prize competitions, but more importantly, it is a reunion of solidarity among journalists from North to South.

"The Vietnam Journalists Association has placed great trust in the Press Cup 2023 tournament. And up to this point, it can be affirmed that the Press Cup is truly a useful playground, an opportunity for members and journalists to exercise and demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and exchange and learning of press units across the country. From there, affirming the strong position of physical education and sports activities in Vietnamese press agencies", Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized.

Mr. Ho Minh Chien, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of Press Cup 2023 delivered the closing speech.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Minh Chien, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of Press Cup 2023 said that after 7 times of organization, Press Cup has increasingly higher professional quality, more methodical and professional organization.

In addition, the Press Cup has had a strong influence in the community, beyond the scope of a purely sporting activity. Through the Press Cup, many beautiful stories and meaningful actions have been aroused and multiplied in the community.

"In the past few days, we have played football together, shared difficulties with the community by giving bicycles to help children go to school in the new school year; and supported and loved colleagues who were less fortunate in life.

The Organizing Committee awarded the championship cup to the Vietnam Television team.

Returning to the tournament, with 23 exciting and fierce matches, thrilling moves, beautiful and classy goals, the Press Cup 2023 championship belonged to Vietnam Television (VTV).

Although the Ho Chi Minh City Social Life Reporters Club lost in the final match, the memories at this year's Press Cup are unforgettable.

The two teams of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association and the Voice of Vietnam Radio received third prize while the style award went to the remaining 8 teams participating in the 2023 Press Cup finals with beautiful, elegant playing style and highly appreciated sportsmanship.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also presented other important awards to the referee team of the 2023 Press Cup final and outstanding individuals.

Specifically, the player who scored the most goals was Nguyen Van Trung (Social Life Reporter Club). The best goalkeeper was goalkeeper Minh Nhat (Vietnam Television Station VTV).
