At 9:00 a.m. on August 16, at Cau Treo International Border Gate ( Ha Tinh ), a delegation of officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Army completed entry procedures to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Colonel Nguyen Mau Phuc - Deputy Political Commissar of Ha Tinh Border Guard, Colonel Nguyen Tu Tai - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, along with leaders and officers of the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station directly attended, welcomed and presented flowers to congratulate the Lao Army on their arrival in Vietnam.
According to the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station, the delegation of Lao People's Army officers and soldiers completing entry procedures had a total of 119 people.
After more than an hour of immigration procedures and receiving military numbers, the delegation continued their journey to Hanoi to prepare for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.
This is the second time in 2025 that the Lao People's Army has sent a delegation of officers and soldiers to participate in parades and marches to celebrate major holidays in Vietnam.
It is known that in preparation for the parade, for nearly a month, despite the harsh weather, Lao officers and soldiers have been practicing hard on the training ground with discipline, perseverance, and determination to complete their assigned tasks well.
The Lao army traveled about 365km from the capital Vientiane (Laos) to Cau Treo International Border Gate. After completing immigration procedures and receiving troops, the group of officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Army boarded a vehicle to go to Hanoi.
The presence of the delegation of officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Army not only contributed to the solemn and majestic atmosphere of the celebration, but also demonstrated the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, armies and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
