(Dan Tri) - With a long face and pointed ears, a dog named Tam living at a barbecue restaurant in a small alley in Hanoi has become popular thanks to his resemblance to the character "Cau Vang" in the game "Anh Hai's Pho Restaurant".

In recent days, when a Vietnamese game called "Brother Hai's Pho Restaurant" became popular on many social networking platforms, a small barbecue restaurant located in Thinh Quang alley, Dong Da ward ( Hanoi ) also received special attention.

The reason comes from the barbecue restaurant's dog, which is said to look similar to the character "Cau Vang" that appears in the game.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Xuan Minh, owner of a grilled meat restaurant, said that when he accidentally saw a post about a Vietnamese game that was causing a stir, he saw that the face of "Cau Vang" in the game looked like the pet dog that his family was raising, so he tried posting a picture to comment for fun.

Unexpectedly, the image was shared widely, making the barbecue family's dog famous on social networks.

It is known that the dog of the barbecue shop owner is affectionately called Tam, a Bull Terrier. Tam is a female, over 4 years old, weighs 22kg, and has been raised by her family since she was a baby.

"When I first raised Tam, I received many comments about its appearance. Some people said Tam looked like a donkey with a long face and pricked ears, others said it looked no different from a goat. But once they got to know Tam, almost everyone liked it because the animal has a friendly and adorable personality," the owner of the grilled meat restaurant commented.

According to Minh’s observation, Tam the dog has the ability to communicate well with guests. When it was young, the animal only ate rice. But when it grew up, it often ran to the guests’ table, waiting to be called to eat.

"Tam is very good at pleasing customers. He runs out to serve everyone he orders, so he likes to receive a few pieces of grilled food as gifts," the owner shared.

The restaurant owner is worried that if there are too many customers, he will not be able to serve them in time.

Minh’s family barbecue restaurant has been in operation for more than 3 years, serving from 6pm to around midnight every day. The main dishes include pork marinated according to a family recipe. In addition, the restaurant also has grilled bread, snacks and some hot pot dishes.

When the image of Tam the dog became more known, Mr. Minh admitted that the restaurant also received more attention from customers. The restaurant is located in an alley and has always served in a family style.

At the moment, the owner said that if the shop is overloaded with customers in the near future, the business will have to hire more people. Currently, the shop is not accepting reservations because the number of customers is higher than usual.

"We are very happy that customers love Tam, but we just hope that everyone who comes here will have a civilized and cheerful attitude," the restaurant owner confided.

Previously, some shops in Vietnam were also known by many people thanks to the effects of "special characters".
