Mr. Tran Sy Thanh is the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

(Dan Tri) - The Central Committee unanimously elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.

On November 5, at the 14th Central Conference, the Central Committee unanimously elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.

Mr. Tran Sy Thanh was born in 1971, from Nghe An. He has a Master's degree in Economics .

From an inspector of the State Treasury, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh has successively held many important positions at this agency such as Chief of Treasury Office, Deputy General Director of the State Treasury ( Ministry of Finance ).

After working at the State Treasury, in mid-2008, he was transferred to Dak Lak, holding the position of Vice Chairman and then Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.

Two years later, Mr. Thanh was transferred to Bac Giang and held the position of Provincial Party Secretary. In early 2015, he was elected Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission. Eight months later, the Politburo transferred Mr. Tran Sy Thanh to be Lang Son Provincial Party Secretary.

After nearly 2 years as leader of Lang Son, Mr. Thanh was transferred to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission and Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.

In August 2020, he transferred to the Office of the National Assembly, holding the position of Deputy Head of the Office of the National Assembly before becoming State Auditor General in April 2021.

In July 2022, Mr. Thanh returned to work locally as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and held that position until he was elected as Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.
