Quang Nam issues new regulations for Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Steering Committee

The Regulations stipulate principles, tasks, powers and budgets, applicable to the Head, Deputy Head and members of the Steering Committee. The Committee operates part-time, closely coordinates, ensures democracy and compliance with the law.

The Head of the Department is primarily responsible for directing key programs and coordinating forces when incidents occur. The Permanent Deputy Head of the Department supports management, develops plans and proposes rewards.

The regulations also assign specific tasks to departments and branches. In particular, the Department of Construction ensures fire prevention and fighting planning, the Department of Education and Training integrates fire prevention and fighting education into schools. The Electricity Company is requested to strengthen inspections and implement solutions to ensure power grid safety. Localities promote the mass fire prevention and fighting movement according to the "four on-site" motto, strengthen inspections and handle violations in residential areas and markets. Organizations such as the Youth Union and Women's Union actively propagate and mobilize people to participate in fire prevention and fighting.

The Steering Committee meets annually, reports on June 20 and December 20. Localities develop appropriate regulations and report emerging issues for adjustment, helping Quang Nam improve its fire response capacity and protect people and property.
