Buon Ma Thuot City: A household in Hoa Thang commune had 46 pepper trees cut down.

On the afternoon of May 12, the Hoa Thang Commune Police (Buon Ma Thuot City) said that a theft of 46 fifth-year pepper plants had just occurred in the commune, causing an estimated total loss of about 120 million VND.

According to the report of Mr. Trinh Dinh Thao (residing in village 5, Hoa Thang commune) who has farming land in team 2, village 4 (Hoa Thang commune), on May 8, his family still went to work on the field as usual and returned home at 3:40 p.m.

At around 9:00 a.m. on May 9, a neighbor working on the farm next to Mr. Thao's garden called to report that his pepper vines had been stolen.

Just heard , bro.   Thao thought her neighbors were joking, but when she went to check the garden, she found that 46 pepper plants had been tampered with.

The pepper plants were cut about 30 - 40 cm above the base. After cutting the pepper vines, the thieves cut off the branches, leaves, young tips and the bottom of the pepper plants , leaving them in the garden, taking only the main stem about 2 m long. According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thao, with 46 pepper plants stolen, the estimated damage is about 120 million VND (including the cost of fertilizer, seedlings and care).

After the unit received a report about the incident in which Mr. Trinh Dinh Thao's family in village 5 had 46 pepper poles stolen by thieves, initially, Hoa Thang Commune Police established a file, examined the scene, and together with the local security force, grasped the security situation in the locality, checked the subjects, and checked security cameras in the area to track down the subject. At the same time, they coordinated with the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order Crimes ( Dak Lak Provincial Police) to reconstruct the scene of the incident to soon have a conclusion on the case.
