On May 29, the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association concluded a special working trip to visit the soldiers and people of Truong Sa and DK1 Platform. This trip has special significance not only to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh said: Implementing the plan to organize Working Group No. 25 to visit Truong Sa and DK1/19 Platform in 2025, according to assigned functions and tasks, units, organizations, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Navy Command have actively and proactively deployed all aspects of the working trip.

During 1 week (from May 23-29), the delegation visited and worked at the islands of Da Thi, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Len Dao, Da Tay (A), Truong Sa and DK1/19 platform.

At the destinations, the delegation worked, visited, encouraged, gave gifts, and had cultural exchanges with the military, people, and forces on duty on the islands and DK1/19 platform; organized activities: saluting the flag, reviewing the troops on Truong Sa island; held a memorial ceremony for officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands; the Martyrs' Monument and Uncle Ho Memorial House in Truong Sa town, cultural and spiritual works on the islands, planted trees; organized competitions...

Vietnam Journalists Association and units: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Voice of Vietnam Radio, Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Vnexpress Electronic Newspaper, Vietnamnet Newspaper, Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, Capital Women Newspaper, Today's Rural Newspaper, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Vietnam Tobacco Corporation, press units, Provincial Journalists Association, and enterprises have supported 1.7 billion VND to the Navy to build CQ-01 boats and presented other practical gifts worth nearly 1 billion VND to officers, soldiers, and people on the islands.
