Quang Nam was chosen as the venue for the Art Program commemorating the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

(QNO) - On the afternoon of May 12, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong and a delegation from the Department of Performing Arts worked with Quang Nam province on coordinating the organization of an art program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan received and worked with the delegation.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that the art program to commemorate War Invalids and Martyrs Day is an important event of the Party and State, held annually to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and heroic Vietnamese mothers. Each year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will choose a locality or typical historical relics to organize this event.

This year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chose to hold the event at the Vietnam Heroic Mother Monument (Tam Phu Commune, Tam Ky City). This is a large-scale project with important historical value in Quang Nam to acknowledge and pay tribute to the great sacrifices of Vietnam Heroic Mothers for the cause of national liberation.

Continuing the annual theme of “Immortal Epic”, this year, the main content of the art program will revolve around the heroic Vietnamese Mother, thereby highlighting the image of the Motherland.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also hopes that scenic spots, historical sites or socio -economic achievements of Quang Nam will appear in this program. This is an opportunity to widely promote the image of Quang Nam land and people.

“Through the survey, the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother is a large-scale project with unique sculptural value, 90m long and 18m high. The bas-relief of the Heroic Vietnamese Mother combined with the lake below and stage decoration will create an impressive highlight for the art program. In particular, new technologies in sound, light, and 3D will be applied,” Mr. Dong informed.

According to Mr. Dong, the event is expected to take place from July 24-26. Thus, there are only more than 2 months left for the event, while the procedures and bidding stages take a lot of time.

Strive to complete all procedures by July 10, and organize a rehearsal on July 23. The stage will be constructed about 10 days before the event and must be completed 4 days in advance for actors and singers to practice.

“For the event to be successful, the role of the host - the place where the event takes place - is very important. We look forward to close coordination between Quang Nam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ensure the implementation of related tasks. We request that Quang Nam support sound, lighting, logistics, security, communications, medical care and coordinate the mobilization of actors who are youth, soldiers, etc.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will soon issue a detailed plan, assigning tasks to each agency and unit, and provide information on the art program script for Quang Nam to grasp and implement. The Ministry will also listen to opinions and suggestions from Quang Nam province's leaders, especially to include Quang Nam's typical arts in the art program," said Mr. Dong.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Quang Nam was honored to be chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the venue to organize the Art Program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to proactively work with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to avoid being passive about the time and organization stages. Quang Nam hopes that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will soon determine the specific time of organization; have a specific plan for the tasks that the province will carry out in conjunction with the completion time.
