Quang Nam organizes architectural design competition for Tam Thanh bridge

Tam Thanh Bridge is located on the extended National Highway 40B, in Tam Thanh Commune, Tam Ky City. The starting point is at the Tam Thanh intersection of Vo Chi Cong Street; the end point is at the intersection with Thanh Nien Street. This project is part of the Quang Nam Province Integrated Adaptive Development Project.

The works participating in the competition, in addition to being suitable for the scale and total investment capital according to the investment policy approved by the Prime Minister ; the total investment level and construction cost allowed for the Tam Thanh bridge section; must be architectural works with aesthetic value, standing out from the general landscape but still in harmony with the regional landscape, promoting the image of Quang Nam province.

The organization of the architectural design competition for Tam Thanh Bridge aims to select a creative and practical design, aiming to build a project with beautiful, sustainable, environmentally friendly, modern architecture, suitable for planning, in harmony with the surrounding landscape, and effective in investment, operation and maintenance.

The project will create an architectural highlight, build a symbol for Tam Ky City to create momentum for the development of the Eastern region of the city; change the appearance and stature of Quang Nam province in the future. In addition, the architectural plan must be associated with the feasibility of the overall load-bearing structure of the entire project, both aesthetic and unique but also ensuring long-term sustainability.

According to the previously approved decision, the competition is called "Tam Thanh Bridge Architectural Design Competition", decided by the Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee; The Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Transport Works of Quang Nam Province is responsible for organizing the competition.

The main location for the exam is at the headquarters of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Quang Nam Province, No. 32 Hung Vuong, Hoa Thuan Ward, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province.

The architectural plan of Tam Thanh Bridge was widely selected in the country; the competition plans were selected through 2 rounds:

Round 1: The competition organizer receives the preliminary registrations with the capacity profile, outline and submits them to the Selection Council for evaluation and selection. The Selection Council conducts the evaluation, selects the 3 best options and notifies individuals and organizations to continue to complete the options according to the comments of the Selection Council.

Round 2: After completing the plans; organizations and individuals who pass round 1 will defend their plans before the Selection Council and invited delegates. The Selection Council will evaluate, review and decide.

* Previously, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung signed and issued Decision No. 657 to establish the Council for the architectural design competition of Tam Thanh Bridge. At the same time, he signed and issued Decision No. 658 approving the plan for the architectural design competition of Tam Thanh Bridge.

The architectural design competition council for Tam Thanh bridge project consists of 11 members. Mr. Tran Nam Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Architecture Advisory Council was elected as Chairman of the Competition Council.
