Quang Ngai trains on foreign information work and policy communication in 2025

On July 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province held a training conference on foreign information work and policy communication in 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province Huynh Thi Thu Thuy shared that foreign information work plays a particularly important role in promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Quang Ngai province in particular to domestic and international friends.

Attending the conference were representatives of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones; civil servants and officials in charge of information, communications, and local radio stations; and reporters from provincial and central press agencies stationed in the area. Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy commented that foreign information work and policy communication are also official and effective channels to convey the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people and the international community.

Also at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Press and Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dao Le Phuong presented the following contents: the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on foreign information work; the importance of foreign information work, policy communication work in the current period; speaking skills and providing information to the press.

Here, delegates also shared skills in using digital media and platforms in foreign information and policy communication activities; skills in identifying and handling distorted and untrue information and practicing hypothetical situations in handling media crises related to foreign policy.

The conference is also an opportunity for the team of officials working in communications, spokespersons of departments, branches, sectors, and commune-level People's Committees - after the new organizational arrangement - to update their knowledge, raise awareness in foreign information work, policy communication and speaking skills, providing information to the press, skills in applying digital platforms in foreign affairs work and skills in handling media crises.
