Currently, Quy Cau has earned more than 85 billion VND, while Aquaman 2 has reached 83.6 billion VND (as of January 16).

A representative of the statistics site Box Office Vietnam gave an assessment: " Quy Cau may not have created a breakthrough in revenue or been widely promoted, but it is certainly one of the Vietnamese films with the best ranking. After 1 month of being released to the audience, the film still maintains a high ranking, topping the box office sales chart for many consecutive weeks. Not only that, Quy Cau 's revenue in the following week is even higher than the previous week". Soul Eater - a horror project previously released by director Tran Huu Tan - has currently only reached 66.7 billion VND and has stagnated in revenue, lower than Quy Cau's revenue which is still increasing steadily every day.
The Dog Ghost was released in late December 2023, surpassing the blockbuster Aquaman 2 and many projects released at the same time to top the domestic box office since the New Year, attracting heated discussions on social networking forums. The film revolves around the karma of a family that slaughters and sells dog meat.
The reason the horror film Ghost Dog is so attractive is thanks to its script inspired by a folk ghost story, a talented cast, and a methodical communication strategy; although there are still some weaknesses in terms of special effects and plot. Director Luu Thanh Luan said that he and the crew are excited when the film is well received by a large audience. A representative of the distributor Galaxy Studio shared: " Ghost Dog can bring strong confidence to independent filmmakers with new and open-minded thinking. Currently, the pure Vietnamese horror theme is still quite selective of viewers, but we always respond to folk materials and hope to create a playground for young directors to try their hand and express their personalities."
