Regulations on payment of accommodation rental fees at work destinations from May 4, 2025

According to Circular 12/2025/TT-BTC dated March 19, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance , from May 4, 2025, the lowest fixed room rental rate at the business destination is VND 500,000/day/person, the highest is VND 1,600,000/day/person; the lowest invoice payment rate is VND 1,100,000/day/room (standard 2 people/room), the highest is VND 4,000,000/day/room (standard 1 person/room), depending on the subject and business destination.

Circular 12/2025/TT-BTC dated March 19, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance also stipulates that from May 4, 2025, the accommodation allowance to pay for business travelers will increase from VND 200,000 to VND 300,000/day.

Accommodation allowance is an additional amount of support for people on business trips in addition to the salary paid by the agency or unit sending the person on business trips, calculated from the date of starting the business trip until the end of the business trip and returning to the agency or unit (including time on the road and time staying at the business destination).
