On December 26, the Prime Minister issued Document No. 1138/TTg-KTTH on organizing fireworks displays on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.
According to the document, on December 18, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 45/CT-TTg on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Tet holiday in 2025.
Pursuant to Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated December 11, 2024 of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025 and the actual situation, the Prime Minister directs the organization of fireworks to celebrate the New Year (replacing the content stated in Point a, Section 25 of Directive No. 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister) as follows:
The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities shall, based on their capabilities, conditions, and practical situations, decide on organizing fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year, ensuring safety, economy, and creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people in accordance with Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025.
