Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund supports funding to demolish dilapidated houses in My Tho City

The family receiving this support is Mr. Nguyen Van Phung, 54 years old, residing in Cho hamlet, Trung An commune.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were leaders of the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung An commune, along with Ms. Ho Thi Tuyet Hong, representative of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and Dr. Dang Thanh Vu, former leader of Van Hien University, Ho Chi Minh City, Head of Thien Tam Volunteer Group.

Vice Chairman of Trung An Commune People's Committee Pham Hong Diem said that Nguyen Van Phung's family is near-poor and his family's situation is extremely difficult. Phung himself has stage 3 kidney failure, so for many years he has had to undergo dialysis 3 times a week and is unable to work. Phung's wife suffers from mental health problems and one of his two children works as a factory worker and the other had to drop out of school...

With economic difficulties and a terminal illness, Nguyen Van Phung's family is a truly difficult household in Trung An commune.

Through the connection of Dr. Dang Thanh Vu, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund mobilized Mr. Tran Thien Khiem, Director of Thien Khiem Electronic Technology Company Limited to sponsor 80 million VND to rebuild the house for Mr. Nguyen Van Phung. The local government said that the house for Mr. Phung will be completed in May 2025 so that his family can have a solid house and a stable life before the rainy season comes.

Ms. Ho Thi Tuyet Hong, representative of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, said that in addition to mobilizing support to build a house for Mr. Nguyen Van Phung, in 2025, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund will also support the construction of 10 houses for households with housing difficulties in Tien Giang province.
