Resolutely fight against property theft crimes

Police questioned Nguyen Van Cuong about theft of property at stores that buy and sell phones and electronic devices.

Although the methods of property theft are not new, they are somewhat more sophisticated and daring. The subjects often take advantage of people's lack of vigilance in looking after and protecting property, especially in places near traffic routes, where there are no motorbike guards to steal property.

Faced with that situation, the police force in the province has proactively advised the Party Committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen leadership and direction in the fight against crime, maintain security and order, and at the same time promote propaganda and education to raise awareness and responsibility of all classes of people, especially heads of agencies, units and localities in preventing and combating crime; recognizing and being vigilant against methods and tricks of property theft criminals as well as preventive measures to proactively manage and protect their vehicles and assets. The police force in the province regularly goes to the grassroots to meet, exchange and grasp the situation at grassroots security and order protection teams, security forces of agencies and enterprises, especially in key and complex areas where theft criminals often take advantage of loopholes to operate; At the same time, many plans and specialized professional measures were deployed, checking, listing, and building profiles of gangs, groups, theft and asset consumption lines, especially gangs operated by professional thugs and mobile criminals from other places, to fight and handle strictly. Along with promoting professional work, the police force coordinated with all levels and sectors to promote the movement of the entire people to protect national security with movement models such as "Building safe villages and hamlets", "Self-managed groups on security and order", "Safe clusters on security and order"... attracting a large number of people to participate, creating a widespread security network.

Since the beginning of 2025, the police force has investigated and clarified hundreds of property theft cases. Among them, many major property theft cases have been investigated and clarified, and many professional thieves have been arrested. Typically, on July 9, 2025, Bim Son Ward Police received a report that a thief broke into a construction site of a resident's house and stole 18 coils of electric wire worth 22 million VND. Bim Son Ward Police mobilized forces, focused on investigating and verifying the case, and after only 1 day, they clarified and arrested Tran Quyet Tien, born in 2002 in Ngoc Trao Commune, the perpetrator of the above theft, and seized all evidence of the case.

Previously, on June 14, 2025, Hai Binh Ward Police received a report that a thief took advantage of the homeowner's absence to break into the house and steal 4.2 taels of gold and 16 million VND in cash. The Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police Department coordinated with professional departments and Hai Binh Ward Police to conduct a crime scene investigation, collect evidence, conduct an investigation, and trace the case. On June 17, 2025, the Criminal Police Department identified and arrested Nguyen Van Dinh, born in 2003 in Hai Binh Ward, as the perpetrator of the theft.

To continue to effectively control and prevent property theft crimes, the authorities, especially the local police, continue to promote propaganda and fight fiercely against this type of crime. In addition, there needs to be strong participation from all levels and sectors, especially the sense of responsibility and vigilance of the people in managing and protecting their property.
