Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society gave gifts to poor households in Dong Hai commune (Quynh Phu).

According to the report of the Red Cross Society of Quynh Phu district, during the humanitarian month (May 1-31), the Red Cross Society at all levels in the district coordinated with the departments, branches, sectors of the province, units, and organizations of Quynh Phu district to organize the awarding of scholarships, gifts, and milk to 809 students with a total amount of over 207 million VND; presented gifts to 65 poor households with a total amount of over 35 million VND; started construction of 21 houses and surveyed and proposed financial support for the construction of 11 new gratitude houses with a total amount of over 1.9 billion VND. In addition, the Red Cross Society at all levels coordinated with the district's medical units to organize examination, consultation, and treatment for 5,600 people; gave free meals to poor patients with an amount of up to hundreds of millions of VND... The total value of the district's humanitarian activities during the humanitarian month was over 2.5 billion VND, thereby demonstrating the concern and care of organizations, units, and individuals in the district for the people.
