Launching Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd.

On July 28, Vietnam National Petroleum Group held the launching ceremony of Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd.

Attending the event were comrades: Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thanh Cong and Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities and leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group; member companies of the Group; enterprises; customers and partners.

The predecessor of Son La Petroleum Branch was Son La Petroleum Station, established on September 21, 1979, on the basis of transferring Co Noi Petroleum Station of Son La Provincial Materials Company to Hanoi Petroleum Company (now Regional Petroleum Company I) to organize a petroleum transfer station for the two provinces of Son La and Lai Chau and reserve for Son La.

On September 5, 1991, Son La Gas Station was changed to Son La Gas Branch. From April 1, 1998, Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (now Vietnam National Petroleum Group) decided to transfer Son La Gas Branch to Ha Son Binh Gas Company.

Since its establishment in 1979, the unit has continuously developed, currently having 39 stores with a total of 205 employees. The branch always fully and promptly meets the demand for gasoline and quality products, especially during the period of scarcity of goods at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. In 2023, gasoline output reached ^110,676m3 ; paid to the state budget over 185 billion VND. Market share accounts for 60-62% of gasoline consumption in the province, making an important contribution to ensuring gasoline security, serving socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the locality.

In recognition of its contributions to socio-economic development, Son La Petroleum Branch was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in 1998, the Second Class Labor Medal in 2003 and the First Class Labor Medal in 2009 by the President, along with many certificates of merit and emulation flags from the People's Committee of Son La province and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At the launching ceremony, the representative of Vietnam National Petroleum Group announced the decision of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Petroleum Group on separating and transferring Son La Petroleum Branch to establish Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. in which Vietnam National Petroleum Group holds 100% of the charter capital with over 48 billion VND.

Announce decisions on personnel work, including: Decision to appoint Mr. Pham Ba Tien, Director of Son La Petroleum Branch, to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd.; decision on the positions of deputy director, heads of departments under the company.

At the launching ceremony, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group donated 3 billion VND to Yen Chau, Bac Yen and Van Ho districts, each district received 1 billion VND to carry out social security work.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered a congratulatory speech at the launch of Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated Son La Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. on its establishment. Acknowledging the development of the unit and its contributions to the socio-economic development and social security of the province, especially the supply of petroleum during the Covid-19 pandemic. Requesting the Company to promote the development of standard stores throughout the province; build storage facilities to ensure petroleum security in the province, contributing to building Son La province to develop rapidly, greenly and sustainably.
