Launching the quintessential Vietnamese Tea space in Hoi An

(QNO) - On the evening of April 22, at Hoi An communal house (27 Le Loi), the authorities of Hoi An city coordinated with Thao Bach Viet Company Limited to organize the launching ceremony of the Vietnamese Tea quintessence space.

At the launching ceremony, the organizers conducted a tea offering ceremony, performed the diplomatic tea reception ceremony; besides that, there was the tea invitation and tea tasting ceremony. Tea tasting is an art, combining sophistication and elegance in each action. Asians often believe that tea tasting is to deepen culture to find tranquility and peace of mind.

Historically, Quang Nam was a major economic center of the region with Hoi An port being the largest export gateway and transit point for goods in Dang Trong.

According to documents, during the prosperous development period of Hoi An trading port, many famous teas were brought from China, Japan and many localities in the province and the whole country to Hoi An for consumption. Not only did tea purchasing and trading activities take place, in Hoi An in the 1930s there was also a De Robe tea processing factory.

Many families in Hoi An have the habit of drinking fresh tea. The space for enjoying tea in ancient houses is often displayed in the living room or in the courtyard area inside the house (also known as the skylight).

The launch of the Vietnamese Tea quintessence space and the practice of tea offering rituals, diplomatic tea, and festival tea in Hoi An this time is the crystallization of the process of building, preserving and developing Vietnamese Tea culture, tea culture in Hoi An ancient town over many years. On this occasion, a classical guitar concert was also held at Hoi An communal house to serve tourists and the community.
