On the morning of May 12, Social Insurance Region VII held a launching ceremony to respond to the Month of mobilizing the implementation of social insurance and universal health insurance in 2025.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of Social Insurance Region VII; Nghe An Provincial Post Office ; service organizations authorized to collect social insurance and health insurance in Vinh city and Hung Nguyen district.
The launching ceremony in response to the Month of mobilizing the implementation of social insurance and universal health insurance was organized to attract the attention of all classes of people to social insurance and universal health insurance policies; to propagate, answer questions, advise, and mobilize people to participate in social insurance and universal health insurance, towards the goal of social insurance and universal health insurance; to encourage and raise the awareness and responsibility of employers in proactively participating in social insurance for employees.
The organization of the Month of mobilizing the implementation of social insurance and universal health insurance is stipulated by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1676/QD-TTg approving the Project on comprehensive innovation of content, form and methods of social insurance propaganda. Specifically, May every year is chosen as the "Month of mobilizing the implementation of universal social insurance"... In Nghe An , the People's Committee of Nghe An province also issued Plan No. 288/KH-UBND, which stipulates that May every year is the Month of mobilizing the implementation of social insurance and universal health insurance.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Le Thi Dung - Deputy Director of Social Insurance Region VII requested the propaganda and direct consultation groups in the localities to effectively carry out communication, mobilization, answering and consulting activities to bring social insurance and health insurance policies to the people.
This is an important premise to promote information and propaganda activities on social insurance and health insurance policies during the month of mobilizing the implementation of social insurance and health insurance for all people and in the following period; striving to achieve the goal of developing participants in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance; contributing to fostering people's trust in the social security policies of the Party and State, contributing to enhancing the image of the Social Insurance sector.
As of April 2025, the whole province had 3,083,167 people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Of which, the number of people participating in social insurance was 449,917, an increase of 14,902 people (an increase of 3.43%) compared to December 2024; the number of people participating in health insurance was 2,941,132 people, an increase of 29,554 people compared to the same period in 2024; the number of people participating in unemployment insurance was 287,119 people, an increase of 32,817 people (an increase of 12.90%) compared to the same period in 2024.
