The Government Office has just issued Notice No. 85/TB-VPCP dated March 21, 2023, concluding the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on the Draft Roadmap for implementing Vietnam's sustainable development goals to 2030.
Reviewing the roadmap for implementing Vietnam's sustainable development goals.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to review and fully identify in the Implementation Roadmap all goals and targets as committed by Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that for goals and targets that Vietnam is capable of achieving, the National Assembly should identify them in the annual socio -economic development plan and gradually increase the number of goals and targets of this type.
Any goals and targets that have been achieved need to be further promoted and their implementation efficiency improved; any goals that have not been achieved need to be clearly defined to strive for. In the long term, we must move towards submitting to the National Assembly all the goals and targets for sustainable development in Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha also requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment to synthesize and evaluate the results of implementing sustainable development goals annually to report to competent authorities; clearly identify the presiding agency and coordinating agency for each target and goal in the Roadmap.
Ministries and sectors assigned to take charge of implementing the goals and targets must continue to improve criteria, statistical methods, digitization, and technology application to synthesize and evaluate the implementation results for each goal and target; note to refer to the monitoring criteria and evaluation methods according to the Toolkit of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and parliaments of countries on evaluating the implementation of sustainable development goals.
