Realme reveals smartphone with super large 10,000 mAh battery

While 10,000 mAh is a common battery capacity found in power banks and some tablets, it's hard to find a smartphone from a branded company like Realme with this battery capacity.

Realme's smartphone concept comes as many OEMs are racing to launch smartphones with battery capacities exceeding 6,000 mAh. The most notable is the recently launched Honor Power, which became the first mainstream smartphone on the market to feature an 8,000 mAh battery.

In addition to having a huge 10,000 mAh battery capacity, the Realme GT concept smartphone also has a slim and light design, measuring only 8.5 mm thick and weighing 200 grams. Realme said it used silicon anode battery technology with a silicon ratio of up to 10% and an energy density of 887 Wh/L. In particular, this device is equipped with a rectangular camera cluster with two sensors.

To optimize the space for the large battery, Realme adopted a “mini diamond” architecture, which reshaped the internal layout and developed the world’s narrowest motherboard measuring just 23.4 mm. The company has also applied for more than 60 patents for this technology.

In addition to the large capacity battery, the Realme GT concept is also equipped with 320W fast charging technology to quickly recharge the device. Currently, Realme is the only brand to equip 240W fast charging technology for smartphones, and the company still maintains its position as providing the smartphone model with the fastest wireless charging technology with Realme GT 3 launched in 2023.

While the Realme GT 10,000 mAh concept smartphone may not be available anytime soon, it demonstrates the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of battery and design. Consumers can expect this advanced battery technology to be implemented in commercial devices soon.
