Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, along with other delegates, visited the exhibition booths at the Me Linh Flower Festival.

In his opening remarks at the Flower Festival, the Secretary of the Me Linh District Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Liem, stated that in recent years, along with promoting industrial and urban development, the district has paid special attention to expanding the traditional flower-growing village to nearly 2000 hectares, linking it with trade and tourism; bringing the Me Linh flower brand to all parts of the country and to friends around the world ; transforming Me Linh from the homeland of the first two female rulers in the nation's history into the homeland of the rose - the "queen" of flowers. Me Linh District identifies the Flower Festival as a large-scale cultural, tourism, and trade promotion event of significant importance in stimulating the consumption of flowers and agricultural products; contributing to improving the income and living standards of the people; making the Me Linh Flower Festival a destination for tourists; and affirming the spirit of innovation and the aspiration for strong breakthroughs in Me Linh in the new era: "The era of the nation's rise."

Following the success of the first Flower Festival, which attracted over 100,000 visitors, the second Me Linh Flower Festival, held on a scale of nearly 10,000 square meters over four days (December 26-29), featured 10 main modules and 8 miniature landscapes decorated with flowers native to Me Linh. Combined with lighting technology, the space was designed and arranged according to themes, featuring 8 smaller scenes decorated with flowers from Me Linh itself. Combined with lighting technology, it created a space that was both modern and poetic, vibrant and colorful. Strolling through this space of fragrance, color, and light, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of countless flowers in full bloom; admire the exquisite works of art decorated by the skillful hands of the artisans; and feel the wondrous creativity, the boundless love of nature, and the vibrant energy and resilience of Me Linh today.

In addition, the exhibition area showcasing artistic floral products from Me Linh and neighboring districts (Gia Lam, Phuc Tho, etc.) is an important activity aimed at preserving and promoting the values ​​of flower-growing villages in Hanoi . Over the four days of the second Me Linh Flower Festival, there will be many vibrant and meaningful activities such as: a competition to decorate bicycles with flowers made from recycled materials; a painting competition; a giant flower mosaic; English festival activities for students; a traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài) fashion show with the theme "Me Linh, ablaze with flowers"; special cultural performances by various sectors and organizations; and lively performances by street bands and circus artists;… In particular, within the framework of the Flower Festival, the People's Committee of Me Linh District, in coordination with the Hanoi City Investment Promotion and Trade and Tourism Center, will organize the "Trade Promotion Fair to promote tourism and local culture in Me Linh District" with more than 100 booths displaying and introducing agricultural products, OCOP products, and handicraft products from Hanoi and many other localities nationwide. This is an opportunity to promote the image of the culture and history of Hanoi in general and Me Linh District in particular. It serves as a bridge for trade between production and business units and consumers; fulfilling the task of stimulating demand and promoting the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign.
