Coming to Sa Pa these days, it is not difficult to see hydrangeas with bright colors, from pure white to gentle blue or poetic light purple. Hydrangeas can be seen everywhere, from the gardens of Homestays, hotels, motels to the corners of large ancient rose gardens... An impressive poetic scene!

Previously, hydrangeas were only grown in Da Lat, but in recent years, they have appeared in Sa Pa. The cool climate all year round and high humidity are ideal conditions for the flowers to grow.

Hydrangea, whose English name is “Hydrangea Hortensia”, originated from Greece, is often considered a symbol of love and happiness. To grow hydrangea, you must first have good flower varieties and suitable soil. Seeds need to be soaked in water for 1-2 hours. Germination time will range from 7 to 10 days.

Hydrangeas are usually planted in fall or winter, blooming in spring or summer. During the growing process, regular watering and fertilization are required for the flowers to grow best.

Hydrangeas come in many colors. Depending on the care conditions and soil pH, hydrangeas will be blue, purple, pink or white… The flowers bloom for a long time, from 1 to 2 months, so they are very popular with gardeners.

Hydrangeas bloomed all over the hillside.

If you come to Sa Pa, you should visit Sa Pa Ancient Rose Garden in Group 2, Sa Pa Ward, Sa Pa Town, about 5 km from the center of Sa Pa Town. This place is not only famous for its vast array of bright red roses but also for its hydrangea garden competing to show off its colors. The hydrangea garden is planted on the slope, when the flowers bloom, it creates a shimmering, magical effect that cannot be found anywhere else. Not only hydrangeas, visitors to Sa Pa Ancient Rose Garden can also admire thousands of rose bushes of all kinds, including over 200 ancient rose bushes over 30 years old, spreading fragrance and color all year round, with unique characteristics of Sa Pa roses.

April to June is the most beautiful time for hydrangeas.

In addition to more than 1.5 hectares of roses, Sa Pa Ancient Rose Garden also has beautiful natural landscapes, fully encompassing the beauty of the mountains and forests of Sa Pa and the flowers of each season competing to show off their beautiful colors. Mr. Pham Ngoc Long, Director of Hoang Lien Sa Pa Community Ecotourism Cooperative - home to the largest hydrangea garden in Sa Pa town at present, shared: "Hydrangeas have been researched and grown a lot by Sa Pa Ancient Rose Garden in recent years. This is an easy-to-grow flower, very suitable for the climate of Sa Pa town. From April to June every year is the time when hydrangeas bloom most beautifully, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and take pictures".

Hydrangeas are not only loved by tourists for their dreamy, poetic beauty, but they are also a flower with many profound meanings, symbolizing health, luck, happiness and success.

Tourists coming to Sa Pa, especially from the South and Hanoi or international tourists, all love places filled with flowers, because they can immerse themselves in nature with fresh, cool air. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hang, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "When we came here, lost in the vastness of hydrangeas, in the cool, fresh air, with beautiful photos, we realized that this is a destination that everyone should visit when visiting Sa Pa".

With soil and climate conditions suitable for this unique flower, Sa Pa town will have solutions to encourage tourist attractions as well as the local community to develop this flower, to create a beautiful dreamy flower area every summer, because this is also the time to attract a large number of tourists to Sa Pa.

Sa Pa is known as the land of a myriad of flowers, a place where old roses, azaleas, orchids... and now hydrangeas converge. Sa Pa is still and will be radiantly beautiful.
