Sustainable agricultural production associated with new rural construction

Identifying high-tech agricultural development as an inevitable direction both in the short and long term, the district has transferred advanced farming processes, applied synchronous mechanization, invested in installing automatic irrigation systems, saving water in fruit tree production... Thanks to that, people have built 13 models of greenhouses and net houses combined with water-saving irrigation, with profits reaching 300 - 400 million VND/ha/year; nearly 600 hectares of concentrated fruit trees bring in 15 to 20% higher income than small areas... In addition, the district has developed high-tech farming farms with revenue from 1 to 3 billion VND/farm/year... At the same time, nearly 2,000 hectares of ineffective land have been converted to grow crops with higher economic value; expanding the area of ​​high-economic value crops such as export chili, sweet corn, melons of all kinds, potatoes...

In Nam Giang commune, right from the early days of the New Rural Development Program, the commune has determined to prioritize economic development, focusing on developing production models that bring high income to the people; converting some ineffective production areas to more effective production models, with a total area of ​​43.5 hectares. Along with that, the commune has invested in building a system of canals, irrigation and internal roads; forming concentrated production areas to bring crops with high economic value into production...

In Dinh Hoa commune (Yen Dinh), along with investing in building rural infrastructure, building bright - green - clean - beautiful villages, in the process of building advanced new rural areas, the commune always identifies the implementation of production criteria as one of the important tasks contributing to improving the quality of life of the people. Secretary of the commune Party Committee Vu Van Nhat said: The commune has formed areas for producing F1 hybrid rice varieties, areas for producing high-yield, high-quality rice, converting inefficient production areas to growing medicinal plants and vegetables with high economic value; producing according to VietGAP standards... As a locality with favorable conditions for livestock development, the commune has formed large-scale, concentrated livestock areas with farms invested in building barns, modern machinery, applying advanced technology in waste treatment... the average revenue of the farms is from 1.5 billion VND/farm or more...

To move towards sustainable agricultural production associated with new rural development, in the coming time, localities need to focus on exploiting land potential more effectively through investing in building modern agricultural production models; forming and expanding large-scale production areas; converting ineffective crop areas into livestock, aquaculture and high-value crop models; identifying key local crops and livestock associated with the consumption market; focusing on and encouraging the development of clean agriculture, organic agriculture, and high-tech application... From there, it will create a solid foundation for the Party Committee, government and people of localities to complete the new rural development program, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, creating an increasingly civilized and beautiful rural appearance.
