On the morning of May 5, the stock market had no problems on the first day of operation of the KRX system.

Since May 5, the KRX system has been officially operated by the Stock Exchange and the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation, opening up new opportunities for the market.

As soon as trading opened, VN-Index jumped sharply to 1,235 points, up about 8 points compared to the session before the holiday; HNX increased 0.92 points to 212.91 points.

Many groups and sectors of stocks were green at the beginning of the session, from securities, banking, technology, real estate, steel... In which, many securities stocks increased sharply from 2%-4% compared to the previous session.

On forums and groups, many investors are discussing enthusiastically, expecting that the new KRX technology system will help the market recover more strongly this May.

KRX system officially operates from May 5

Ms. Bich Ngoc (an investor in Ho Chi Minh City) said that she is holding some securities stocks, so she hopes that KRX will help VN-Index go up, especially securities stocks. Because securities are one of the stocks that are expected to benefit when KRX operates thanks to the addition of new products and increased market liquidity.

According to VPS Securities Company, in the context of the Vietnamese stock market moving towards breakthrough developments, the deployment of the KRX system is considered an important milestone, opening up many new opportunities for investors and market members.

Securities companies have sent notifications via text messages and emails to investors about the changes in the KRX system compared to the old system. There are 4 main changes in transactions: ATC and ATO orders are no longer prioritized, instead they are by time and volume. There are differences in order display. Trading of restricted stocks on Fridays will be divided into 15 consecutive sessions. Regarding the issue of canceling and modifying orders, investors will not be able to modify both price and volume at the same time as before, but must modify them one by one and change the order priority.

Investors are advised to carefully study the changes of the new system to trade effectively and avoid risks.
