Landslide at the starting point of the underground cable line to Ly Son

QNgTV- The underground power cable from the mainland to the Ly Son special zone, Quang Ngai province, was seriously eroded by high tides during storm No. 13, making it unsafe. A section of the underground cable was exposed on the coast of Thanh Thuy village, Van Tuong commune, causing concern for people living near this area.

People in Thanh Thuy beach area fear the risk of insecurity.

The location of column 86 XT 470/DQU on the coast of Thanh Thuy village, Van Tuong commune is the beginning of the underground cable line that supplies electricity to Ly Son special zone. After storm No. 13, the 22KV underground cable section here was exposed on the sand for 60 meters. Landslides caused the column at the beginning of the underground cable line to collapse and damage.

Van Tuong Commune People's Committee coordinated with the electricity industry to string wires and put up warning signs to prevent people and vehicles from approaching.

The locality resolutely handles violations of the safety corridor of underground cable structures. The 22kV submarine cable line across the sea supplying electricity to the Ly Son special economic zone is an important project.

Local authorities have recommended that the underground cable line be repaired soon to ensure safety for the beach area and not affect the power supply to Ly Son special economic zone.
