Hanayuki Sunscreen Body product batch (box of 1 tube of 100g) is recalled

Recently, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has suspended the circulation and recalled the Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen batch nationwide because the sun protection factor on the label is SPF 50 but the test result is SPF 2.4. SPF is an index that measures the ability of sunscreen to protect the skin from UVB rays.

According to the department, the strengthening of cosmetic management for sunscreen products aims to implement the Prime Minister 's direction on strengthening coordination and strictly handling organizations and individuals involved in the production and trade of fake medicines, fake milk and fake health protection foods.

At the same time, launch a peak campaign to fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights...

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests that provincial and municipal health departments urgently review the cosmetic product declaration forms with declared sunscreen features and uses that have been received, ensuring compliance with current regulations on cosmetic management.

Revoke the numbers of declaration forms that do not meet regulations; direct functional units to inspect the labeling and advertising of sunscreen cosmetic products in the area.

Direct the Testing Center to increase the sampling of sunscreen cosmetics for testing and determining the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) index, promptly report to the Department of Drug Administration any violating sunscreen cosmetic samples for recall, destruction, handling, and strict punishment according to regulations.

The Department also requires manufacturing and trading establishments responsible for bringing cosmetic products to the market to comply with regulations on cosmetic management and review product information files (Product Information File - PIF), methods and results of determining the product's SPF index, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and readiness to provide when requested by competent authorities for quality inspection.

Review the content of the cosmetic product declaration form stating the features and uses of sunscreen, ensuring compliance with current regulations; review the product label stating the features and uses of sunscreen, SPF index, ensuring compliance with labeling regulations, accurate content, consistency with the declaration form and compliance with ASEAN Guidelines on labeling of sunscreen cosmetic products.

Recently, the Drug Administration has continuously recalled many types of cosmetics that violate regulations. Among them, the Hanayuki Sunscreen Body batch - distributed by the company of Ms. Doan Di Bang's husband (a famous person on social networks), on the label stated the SPF index of 50 but the SPF test result was only 2.4.

This information makes many consumers confused when from functional foods, modern medicine to cosmetics, fake and poor quality products are discovered.
