In 1990, SCI officially registered to operate in Vietnam. Currently, this organization focuses on six areas:education , health and nutrition, child protection, child rights governance, poverty reduction for children and adolescents, disaster risk reduction and climate change response in 22 provinces and cities.
According to statistics, from 1990 to 2024, SCI's total budget in Vietnam is estimated at over 170 million USD through over 400 projects/programs. Notably, from 2017 to present, SCI's annual budget in Vietnam has always been maintained at around 8 - 10 million USD.
On average, SCI supports about 7.7 million children each year. In 2023 alone, the total number of beneficiaries in projects supported by SCI in Vietnam will be more than 9.8 million people (of which the number of direct beneficiaries will be 8.7 million people, including 8.4 million children).
