On May 19, at Hamlet 13, Quang Thien Commune, Kim Son District, Ninh Binh Province, the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association (Association) coordinated with the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Quang Thien Commune to organize a ceremony to hand over a house of gratitude to the family of Mr. Tran Van Hoan, a member of the Veterans Association of Quang Thien Commune and also a member of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association.

The house was repaired at a total cost of 135 million VND, of which the Central Association supported 50 million VND. After 2 months of urgent construction, with material and spiritual support from the local government and relatives, the 50m² house was completed, suitable for the family's living conditions.
Previously, on May 17, the Central Association in coordination with the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Phu Yen province organized the handover of gratitude houses to two members with difficult housing circumstances: Mr. Huynh Dinh Trong (Xuan Binh commune, Song Cau town, Phu Yen province) and Mr. Le Minh Tai (Hoa Xuan Tay ward, Dong Hoa town, Phu Yen province). Each house was supported by the Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) with 50 million VND.

On May 13, the Central Association continued to coordinate with the sponsor, Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) and the Veterans Association of Ward 7, Tan An City, Long An Province to organize the handover of a gratitude house to Mr. Ho Van Minh, a former volunteer soldier, a member, currently residing in An Thuan 2 Quarter, Ward 7. The house has a total area of 72m², of which 36m² was newly built and 36m² was repaired, with a total cost of 85 million VND (50 million VND supported by the Central Association and PV GAS, the rest was contributed by family and relatives).
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Tran Tan Ngo, Vice President of the Central Association said: "Supporting the construction of gratitude houses is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the Association's concern and care for members with housing difficulties. Gratitude houses are a source of both material and spiritual encouragement, creating motivation for members to overcome difficulties and improve their lives."
According to the Central Association, the above cases are on the list of 40 veteran volunteers, members of 20 member associations nationwide with difficult circumstances, who will be supported to build new and repair gratitude houses in 2025. The total cost of the program is 2 billion VND, sponsored by PV GAS, a member unit of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group. This is a practical activity contributing to the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, demonstrating the spirit of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves" and the solidarity between veteran volunteers who fought side by side with the Cambodian people during difficult years, thereby continuing to foster the increasingly strong friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
