Danang University students won first prize in the Danang cluster finals of the 2024 National English Competition

Star Awards is an English competition for students nationwide organized by the Youth Union - Student Association of National Universities, Regional Universities, and key universities with the aim of raising students' awareness of the importance of learning foreign languages ​​in the context of international integration.

This year, the Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Danang is the host of the contest at the Danang - Central Highlands Cluster for the 13th season with the theme "Healthy lifestyle for a healthy heart".

Teams compete in the final round

The contest attracted more than 18,000 candidates from many universities in the city and the Central Highlands region to register.

Through the online preliminary rounds and semi-finals, the Organizing Committee selected the 6 best teams with 18 contestants to enter the final round.

In the final round, the teams competed in three parts: warm-up, acceleration and finish.

In the final result, Team Luminaries including students Vo Hong Phuc, Bui Thao Ly - School of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Danang and Dinh Quynh Truc - University of Economics , University of Danang excellently won the First Prize. At the same time, Team Luminaries will represent Da Nang cluster to attend the National Final Round in Can ThoA in December 2024.

The Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Team Luminaries, including students from the School of Medicine and Pharmacy and the University of Economics - University of Danang.

The Spa team including students Nguyen Tuan Quang Tung, Nguyen Thuy Tien, Vo Thi Duyen Quynh - University of Foreign Languages, University of Danang won second prize.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 Third Prizes to The Nexus Team and Ravenclaw Team; 2 Encouragement Prizes to Pioneer Team and Glowz Team.
