Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has just announced that a student was scammed and had his property taken away. Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine said that the school had previously received a complaint from a student's family about a bad person impersonating a notice in the name of the school to commit fraud. This fake notice introduced an international student exchange program implemented by the school. Due to a lack of vigilance, the student and his family did not investigate and verify, so they were scammed and had their property taken away. When they could not contact the student, the family reported to the police and contacted the school for assistance in the search.
The student involved in the incident has now returned to normal school. The school and family are working together to care for and encourage the student to ensure that his/her studies are not affected. The incident is also being verified, investigated and clarified by the authorities.

The school affirms that it does not implement any international student exchange or study abroad programs. Official information about international student exchange programs, study abroad scholarships (if any) ... are all made public on the school's electronic information portal, and sent to personal online accounts or personal emails provided by the school to students via emails of functional units of the school.
The school reminds parents and students to always be vigilant against information of unknown origin related to international student exchange programs, study abroad scholarships, etc. In case of detecting suspicious content, please immediately contact the authorities or functional departments of the school for support in verification, answers and implementation instructions. Parents and students are advised to absolutely not provide personal information, financial information, or make any financial transfer requests without verifying the information through official channels.
Previously, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine received a complaint from the family of a 6th year student. According to the complaint, the 6th year student called his mother to tell her about the school's choice to go on an international student exchange in the Federal Republic of Germany and asked his family to deposit money into the account to make a statement and submit it to the school to make the application.
Within a few days, the family deposited 6.8 billion VND into the child's account. Feeling suspicious, the family asked an acquaintance at the bank to check the balance in the child's account and found out that there was no money left in the child's account.
The family called but the student made an excuse that he was going to school and could not be contacted, only replying that he still had 7 billion VND in his phone account. The family went to his place of stay but he was not there, nor did he go to the hospital for his internship as planned, but told his friends that he was going home to visit his sick mother, and then could not be contacted.
