On the morning of October 18, more than 120 students and lecturers from the English Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education visited and interacted at the Tuoi Tre newspaper office.
The program aims to provide English language students with the opportunity to experience the real-life journalism environment, as well as learn about the process of producing journalistic products, especially in the fields of international news and English journalism.
At the program, students learned about the history of formation and development of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
The delegation also visited the Convergence Newsroom, the Tuoi Tre Newspaper Training Cooperation Center and the Tuoi Tre Cuoi publication's editorial office, thereby getting a panoramic view of the activities of a multimedia press agency.
In particular, the students listened to an in-depth introduction to the work at the International Department - Tuoi Tre English as well as the specific career requirements of the foreign journalism sector.
Many students expressed great interest in this field and asked questions about the path to becoming an international reporter, how to build an effective network of sources...

Speaking at the exchange, journalist Bui Tien Dung, Director of the Training Cooperation Center and Head of the Education Department of Tuoi Tre newspaper, shared that up to now, the newspaper has cooperated with 14 universities nationwide and always welcomes students to study and experience.
Journalist Tien Dung affirmed that Tuoi Tre newspaper hopes to welcome more tours from universities, as well as have the opportunity to welcome students to come and study directly with the newspaper.

On behalf of the English Department, Vice Dean Dinh Tran Hanh Nguyen sent thanks to Tuoi Tre newspaper, affirming that this exchange will be a memorable memory for the students.
Ms. Hanh Nguyen hopes that the faculty's students will have the opportunity to test and develop their translation and interpretation skills in a dynamic journalism environment, and wishes to continue to maintain the cooperative relationship, sending students to the newspaper for internships as in the past years.
