Districts with many patients are: Thach That (833 cases), Hoang Mai (827 cases), Thanh Tri (727 cases), Ha Dong (607 cases), Phu Xuyen (603 cases), Dong Da (577 cases), Cau Giay (558 cases), Nam Tu Liem (523 cases).
Also this week, Hanoi recorded 72 more dengue fever outbreaks in 15 districts: Dong Da (16 outbreaks); Ha Dong, Hoang Mai - each with 8 outbreaks; Thanh Oai (7 outbreaks); Phuc Tho (6 outbreaks); Hai Ba Trung, Bac Tu Liem - each with 4 outbreaks; Tay Ho, Quoc Oai, Phu Xuyen (3 outbreaks); Dan Phuong, Thuong Tin, Ba Vi (2 outbreaks); Hoan Kiem, My Duc (1 outbreak).
The total number of outbreaks up to now is 730. According to the Hanoi CDC, the city is entering the peak period of dengue fever with the number of cases constantly increasing.
Hanoi CDC requests the Medical Centers of districts, towns and cities to base on the patient situation and the results of monitoring dengue-transmitting insects to advise the People's Committees of localities to strengthen environmental sanitation campaigns - kill mosquito larvae and actively spray mosquito-killing chemicals in communes, wards and towns. Localities need to continue to strengthen monitoring of mosquito larvae and dengue-transmitting mosquitoes in areas with cases, outbreaks and high-risk areas, thereby implementing appropriate and timely response activities. On the other hand, localities need to mobilize departments, branches, unions and other forces to participate in supporting environmental sanitation, killing mosquito larvae.../.
