The province currently has 65 historical relics, including 2 special national relics, 16 national relics, and 47 provincial relics. Moc Chau National Tourist Area currently has more than 20 historical, cultural and scenic relics. Many relics have been restored, protected, and invested in upgrading with additional auxiliary items to meet the needs of sightseeing, learning about history and offering incense and commemorating heroic martyrs. The relics here are also included in the tour schedule and tourist routes, becoming meaningful destinations for tourists. Keeping up with digital transformation, the work of digitizing relics has been actively implemented by localities here. Typical are 5 youth projects "Digitizing historical relics" using QR codes at 5 relics: Moc Ly Station; historical relic of the 52nd Tay Tien Regiment; where Uncle Ho talked with cadres and workers of Moc Chau Farm; where Uncle Ho talked with cadres and people of Moc Chau ethnic groups; Bat Cave scenic spot. With this model, visitors only need to scan the QR code to easily learn about information, images, and listen to explanations about the relics.

In Gia Phu commune, in July 2025, the commune has put into operation the digital tourism project "Tourism explanation of the historical site of the resistance war against the French in Ban Nhot forest". By simply scanning the QR code, people and tourists coming here can read and listen to the explanation from the origin of the name of the relic, about Ban Nhot forest associated with General Vo Nguyen Giap to the current Temple of the General. The application of this technology has been effectively helping the management work, supporting people and tourists when coming to the relic and practically contributing to the digitization of the relic.

A highlight in the work of digitizing relics is the implementation of the application to visit the special National Monument of Son La Prison using VR technology (virtual reality technology). With this application, all the landscapes of Son La Prison, the activities of political prisoners, artifacts, documents... are recreated in vivid, realistic 3D images, helping viewers visualize a historical period full of hardship and sacrifice in a place considered "hell on earth" during the resistance war against France. Currently, the application is being integrated into the information page of the Provincial Museum and Library at http://baotangsonla.vn/ under the banner "Digitizing Son La Prison Monument" for viewers to easily access and learn.

The solutions for digitizing historical relics that are being implemented have shown practical effectiveness and high applicability, supporting the management and promotion of the value of historical relics. This is also a trend that needs to be replicated and further promoted in the coming time to preserve and spread the value of heritage in a sustainable way, reaching a wider audience.
