Digitizing more than 8,000 durian trees in Krong Buk district

On the morning of March 17, 2024, the Central Youth Union Secretariat, Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, Dak Lak Durian Association and Krong Buk District Youth Union coordinated to digitize durian trees on the green tree map.

Accordingly, the youth union members of Krong Buk district have launched a pilot project to build a database to manage 8,750 durian trees on an area of ​​125 hectares in Cu Kbo commune (based on the growing area map) on the bandocayxanh.vn system.

Once built, this application will provide information related to the growing area code, area, expected harvest time, harvest area, expected yield as well as pest and disease status... of the digitized durian tree.

The program aims to promote the pioneering role of young people in digital transformation of agriculture , building and sustainably developing durian trees in the province; creating stable output and enhancing the value of durian trees for domestic and foreign markets.

At the same time, introduce a new model in durian production and consumption associated with technology, creating a domestic durian consumption community; thereby, fundamentally solving the problem of output before harvest.

The program will be implemented from March 2024 to June 2024 across the province, with the goal of digitizing 10,000 durian trees.

It is expected that by April 2023, the program will digitize 50%; by May, it will reach 80%; by June, the total number of trees will be digitized according to the set target./.
