Summary of Veterans Association's work in the first 6 months of the year

Since the beginning of the year, the War Veterans Association at all levels in the province has seriously and effectively implemented the association's work and launched the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans"; actively propagated, mobilized donations, and supported the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for members with difficult housing circumstances; provided timely ideological guidance to association officials at all levels in the process of arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system and organizing local governments at two levels; actively coordinated with the government, the Fatherland Front, and departments, branches, and social organizations at the same level to effectively carry out the tasks of local socio-economic development.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Association of War Veterans at all levels has received nearly 112 billion VND in loans through 369 savings and loan groups, raising the total outstanding debt to date to 955 billion VND; the officers and members of the Association of War Veterans have donated and supported various funds with nearly 500 million VND; 119 temporary and dilapidated houses have been eliminated for members, currently the whole association still has 62 dilapidated houses that need to be eliminated; since the beginning of the year, the whole association has had 37 members admitted to the Party, raising the total number of Party members to 10,608 (accounting for 29.9%); the Association of War Veterans of Provincial Agencies was dissolved and the Association of War Veterans of Provincial People's Committee Agencies and a number of grassroots associations were established due to the rearrangement of the provincial apparatus.

At the conference, delegates discussed and shared the advantages, difficulties and obstacles in implementing the association's work, focusing on discussing the arrangement and consolidation of the association's organization in the context of implementing the two-level local government model, thereby proposing appropriate solutions to build an increasingly synchronous and stable association, promoting the role of war veterans in the new situation.

Regarding the direction and tasks in the last 6 months of the year, all levels of the association will continue to promote the effective implementation of the emulation movements "Exemplary war veterans", "War veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business "; actively propagate and participate in giving opinions on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; effectively carry out the editing and arrangement of records and databases for handover and storage during the process of reorganizing the apparatus; strengthen measures to build a comprehensively strong association, improve the quality of activities at the branch level.
