Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism meets at the beginning of Spring 2024

BHG - On the afternoon of January 15, at Yen Bien Luxury Hotel ( Ha Giang city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (TT&DL) organized a meeting program to welcome the beginning of the year of the Dragon in 2024. Attending were former leaders and officials of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism through the periods; leaders of the Departments of Culture and Information; Centers for Culture, Information and Tourism of districts and cities along with a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Department.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in managing and organizing cultural, sports and tourism activities in the locality in 2023.

At the meeting, delegates watched a clip showing outstanding activities of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2023. Accordingly, in the past year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province actively and proactively deployed and effectively carried out assigned tasks, thereby achieving many important results in various fields. Some outstanding results achieved include: The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism advised and coordinated the successful organization of major events of the province such as: The ceremony to receive the title of member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network of Dong Van Karst Plateau for the 3rd time and the 9th "Tam Giac Mach Flower" Festival; Mong Panpipe Festival of Ha Giang province and the Culinary Culture Festival of the 3 regions of North - Central - South. At the same time, in the field of Sports , the industry has consulted and coordinated to successfully organize many provincial and international sports tournaments, attracting a large number of athletes, people and tourists to participate, contributing to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in 2023 received Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In particular, the tourism sector has achieved many impressive results such as: Ha Giang was recognized as Asia's leading emerging tourist destination by the 30th World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania; The New York Times (USA) ranked Ha Giang in the top 25/52 most attractive destinations in the world; Nam Dam village, Quan Ba commune (Quan Ba) was honored to receive the ASEAN award for community tourism. In 2023, Ha Giang welcomed over 3 million visitors, an increase of 33% compared to 2022, exceeding the planned target for 2023 by 21%.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the 2023 "For the Cause of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Commemorative Medal of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association to individuals.

At the program, 2 groups and 2 individuals were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their outstanding achievements in managing and organizing cultural, sports and tourism activities in the locality in 2023; 71 individuals received the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" in 2023 from the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association; many groups and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their outstanding achievements in performing their tasks in 2023.
