This special Mazda MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster 12R is the first car made by Mazda Spirit Racing - the brand's new high-performance division that replaces MazdaSpeed.

The 2026 MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster is produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and comes in two versions, the standard version and the 12R version with many performance improvements.

The Mazda MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster has an Aero Gray exterior with dark gray accents on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear spoiler.

The interior of the Mazda MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster 12R version has Alcantara leather sports seats, 4-point seat belts.

Both versions share the same 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, differing only in capacity.

For the standard version, the maximum output is 181 horsepower; the 12R version has a new exhaust pipe, new intake port, upgraded camshaft... the output is pushed up to 197 horsepower.

Thanks to these improvements and upgrades, the MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster 12R version becomes the most powerful Miata in the brand's history.

The Mazda MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster is available only with a 6-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, and Bilstein shock absorbers with special modifications.

In Japan, the standard Mazda MX-5 Spirit Racing Roadster starts at 5.265 million yen (about 34,400 USD equivalent to 905 million VND) with a total of 2,200 cars produced.

Meanwhile, the Roadster 12R version is limited to only 200 cars for the Japanese market with a starting price of 7.612 million yen (about 49,700 USD equivalent to 1.3 billion VND).
