On the afternoon of October 12, in Hanoi, the Youth Union of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) held the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Traditional VNPT Youth Football Tournament. The tournament attracted the participation of 10 affiliated Youth Union branches with more than 200 players.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Long, Secretary of the Youth Union of VNPT Group said: 2023 also marks the 25th anniversary of the VNPT Youth Football Tournament. The VNPT Youth Football Tournament has become a traditional football tournament and an annual tournament that has received a lot of attention and love from generations of young people and VNPT workers.
This year's tournament continues to affirm the growth of the sports movement and has become a very useful and meaningful activity for the Group's cadres, union members, youth and employees.
The Secretary of the Youth Union of VNPT Group shared: With the achievements gained over the past years, the 2023 Traditional VNPT Youth Football Tournament is a great festival for cadres, union members, and young people in VNPT Group to participate in competitions, with the spirit of training health, contributing to improving physical and mental strength, to contribute youth to the socio-economic development of the country in general and of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group in particular.
Through the tournament, the mass sports movement and health training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho will be promoted to increasingly grow, meeting the needs and aspirations of physical training and sports of cadres, union members and youth in the whole Group, creating an exciting competitive atmosphere, a spirit of exchange, learning and mutual understanding among cadres, union members and youth of the units.
The VNPT Traditional Football Tournament applies the 7-a-side football rules set by the Vietnam Football Federation. The tournament will be held from October 12 to the end of October 2023.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, representatives of the teams were divided into two groups and drew lots to compete. When the match started, the teams created an extremely exciting atmosphere, contributing great matches, beautiful plays, fierce and dramatic competitions, each score, each goal, and mixed with regrettable missed opportunities./.
