As Nhan Dan Newspaper reported earlier: From 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on March 25, in some communes in Thuan Chau district, there were thunderstorms and hail, affecting some houses and crops of the people.
In some communes, the hail was quite large, the size of the stones was from the tip of the little finger to the size of a chicken egg. The rain lasted for a long time, in some areas it lasted nearly 30 minutes before stopping.

According to preliminary reports from affected communes, in Kieng village, Muong E commune, one person was injured by a falling tile on his head and is currently receiving emergency treatment at Son La city hospital.
Hail and thunderstorms damaged the roofs of 27 houses in villages in 7 communes of Muong E, Nong Lay, Chieng Pa, Liep Te, E Tong, Phong Lai, and Chieng La; the corrugated iron roofs of 2 cultural houses in E Tong and Chieng La communes were blown off; and 6 solar-powered electric poles in Chieng La commune were knocked down.

Hail and thunderstorms also caused damage to trees and crops in the communes of Muong E, Phong Lai, Phong Lap, Chieng Pha, Chieng La, and Nong Lay. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is reviewing and compiling data from the communes on the damaged area.
