Son Tay deploys fire prevention and fighting and rescue according to assignment and decentralization

According to statistics, after the establishment of the two-level local government, in Son Tay ward there are 85 enterprises operating in the fields of industry and construction and 64 industrial and handicraft production households; 1 Phu Thinh industrial cluster; Phu Nhi rice cake craft village, Hien Bao and Quy Thao confectionery production facilities in Duong Lam ancient village; 537 enterprises, cooperatives and households engaged in trade, tourism and services; 1 type I market, 2 type III markets, 2 temporary markets (including 1 temporary wholesale market); 11 banks with 17 transaction offices and 1 credit institution; 175 relics, of which 45 relics have been recognized and ranked at the national and city levels.

The ward always closely follows the instructions of superiors in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work, with the motto "four on-site" (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site means, on-site logistics), ensuring timely handling and rescue when fire and explosion incidents occur, limiting the spread of fire, resolutely not allowing large fires to occur; gradually reducing the number of fires and damage caused by fire and explosion, building a fire-free environment, meeting the requirements of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work in the new situation.

At the conference, delegates listened to discussions and instructions on the provisions of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and Search and Rescue, Decree No. 105/2025/ND-CP, and the responsibilities of the People's Committees at the commune level in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Son Tay Ward People's Committee Khuat Quang Hanh stated: The Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue 2024 and Decree No. 105/2025/ND-CP set high requirements for fire safety management. The Ward People's Committee is the direct focal point for managing 634 facilities, and at the same time closely coordinates with the City Police in inspection and supervision work. The handover of 81 facilities from the ward to the City Police for management is an important step, ensuring legality and expertise.

The Vice Chairman of Son Tay Ward People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to relevant units to review and update data of 634 facilities under management into the national fire prevention and fighting database system; coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 26 to organize professional training for grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces and residential groups; guide facilities under fire prevention and fighting management to implement regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety; review fire prevention and fighting conditions when granting construction and renovation permits; periodically inspect key infrastructure facilities (markets, shopping centers, warehouses) and make records of violations if any...

For 57 residential groups in the area, it is necessary to coordinate in monitoring fire prevention and fighting declarations at facilities; early detection of fire and explosion risks; support and guide people in using basic fire fighting equipment.
