Instructions for using audio and video recording equipment for 2-level People's Procuracy

The mobile technical equipment set was provided by the Supreme People's Procuracy to the provincial People's Procuracy units at 2 levels under the Project to Strengthen "Facilities and techniques for audio and video recording of interrogations of suspects according to the provisions of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code in the People's Procuracy sector for the period 2021-2024".

The content of the instruction includes: Introduction to equipment for recording and filming; skills in operating and using the equipment; handling situations and incidents arising during the implementation process; direct operation on audio and video recording equipment with sound, so that units can proactively deploy and effectively use audio and video recording during interrogation and taking statements by prosecutors; procedures for preserving, storing and using audio or video recording results during the process of resolving criminal cases.

Receiving and using proficiently and effectively the equipment in performing the tasks of recording audio and video of interrogation rooms, taking statements by audio and video recording with sound is an effective method of monitoring, preventing forced confessions, torture and violations of the law in the investigation, prosecution and trial of criminal cases.

Audio and video recordings will help the prosecution agency prove criminal acts, ensure the evidentiary value of evidence collected in case files; to further improve professional skills and better implement the provisions of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code.
